beat was interesting

i understand that you were experimenting, so i'm guessing it wasn't supposed to be all that great. it had some pretty neat mixing in it, but i would suggest adding more it than the bass line for the first half of the song. Add a few more synths as well to give the song more substance, right now it feels empty.

great progression!

I really liked this song! the bass and bass drum interacted very well, even though they were very simple. The beat was formulated and thought out well. The only problem i have with this song is the synth that goes through the chord progression in the same form. do you think you could change up the rythm/form it's played in every once in a while? I think that would make the song much better!

btw, i make music as well, and was wondering if you wanted to review a song i posted just recently. thanks!

wow! Great job!

I loved it! Everything went together well. I personally would have liked to hear a bit more of a dark noise to it, but the brightness does work out pretty awesomely too. i just don't think that the brightness really fits a battlefield. other than that, props to you on the percussion! it works very very well with everything going on in the song!

btw, could you check out my new song, Bass Crusher? It got zero bombed, and i'm assuming that retard bombed yours as well? anyways, it would be great to get another review on it :) thanks!

I really can't decide what to say about this song because this song can't decide what it's supposed to be about! Your beats are pretty incredible, but you really need to decide on one beat! make a form to the music as well :P. As of right now, it's just a three note chord progression being played over and over and over and over and over and over in different ways! make some sort of refrain, bridge, intro, and conclusion. It's a cool idea, but it really doesn't go anywhere. the only thing that does go anywhere is the beat, which really doesn't make an entire song. My advice to you is to totally redo this song....but that's just me. From my point of view it's like 15 different forms of the same basic idea..pick one and build off of it.

Not to be antagonistic, but the idea of doing an overhaul of a song thats 12 minutes in length is absurd. You can be the sole indiviudal who is given acess to the file if you'd like to crap a brick and experience a change of mind.

Up to the 1:50 mark it is the same riff, after that things start getting mixed up and are not the same 3 chords.

Unfortunately a chart comparing complexity VS popularity displays a negative trend.

Its funny what one can conclude about such trends.

Editing my response for clarity, my last comment there is suggesting a lack of complexity on your part. Yes this is mildly inflammatory.

great job as far as the composing goes. i would just ask that you make better transitions at 0:33 and 0:36. the gong sounds pretty sick, but it needs something else to go with it. and whats with the fade out at around 0:33? get rid of the silence at the end of the song too. i see potential, but it needs better mixing. i loved the choir part at the beginning, so incorperate that towards the end of the song. i would also add in more of the lively stuff that you made at 0:33 after the slow interlude. the general mix of the song just doesn't seem complete to me. edit this and send me the final draft please! it's pretty awesome already ;)

choppy

this song was pretty neat and had a sort of tribal and trance feel to it, but it could use some work as far as the fx goes. i'd add more reverb and echoes the piano for one, and i would also work on making the drums a bit less choppy. it also gets a little repetative, so try to mix it up a bit more. other than that, i enjoyed the whole feel to it and the mixing of this song. good job

very good portayal of sleep

this song is pretty neat, but it's got a few things i don't like about it.

-it's background is very repetitive it's got potential with everything that you added to it, but it builds up way too slowly and needs more change in the middle two minutes of the song
-use a bit less speaker switching lol i know it's about being in that drugged state, but the speaker phasing is extremely annoying when listening to this. it changes way too much
-this song doesn't switch up enough. put in a refrain and some sort of bridge in the middle of the song

great job though! i loved the synths that you put in and how greatly you portrayed what you made your song about. this has GREAT potential to become a huge hit once it's edited. if you feel like editing it would ruin it, just make a different version of this song, and continue to mess around with the musical form of it.

you really are talented, and i could use some advice from a talented musician. would you mind reviewing a bit of my music for me? (try the less reviewed stuff)
