this is sick

i love how you combined both acoustic and electronic (stuff i love to do) and you also put in the style of a side scrolling guitar. this is origionality at it's best! 10/10 bro :D

btw, could you review a song or two for me? and not forming anesthetic, i've got enough advice on that one ;) thx :D

Fantomenk responds:

thank you... ill make sure to listen to your tracks and tell you what i think mate :D

wow

bit repetative at the beggining, but it goes into really cool moods and the instrumentation is amazing. it's like a mix of something from a creepy video game and who wants to be a millionaire xD. the only advice i've got is to take out the claps. in my opinion those take away from the whole acousticness of the song. other than that, great job! i'd also add in more horns and make it a bit longer

btw, could you check out some of my stuff? thanks :)

shesmackshard responds:

thanks mang. the song loses a lot of electronica feeling to it when the claps are replaced with a snare or just taken out all together, and certain sections dont transition smoothly without it. they were in the original too.

I didnt use any horns and Im not really a fan of them haha. thanks for the review, Ill be sure to check out your stuff in time.

0_0 this is amazing

i really love this song. it's quite fit for a symphonic band or orchestra to play!! i think you could add some more complicated parts into it to make it a little more challenging to play, but other than that the whole idea and melodies all work really really well. i love the bell parts that come and go. it reminds me of something from an adventure game like wizard101 (hate that game, but the music is cool). great job!!

btw, coud you check my stuff out? i need editing tips. thanks ;)

BowserThedestructive responds:

sure will do ^_^ ill check your music out. thanks for the review

weird lol

to tell you the truth i don't like it much...i don't mean to be a jerk or anything, but the rubs with the instruments don't work out too well with this one. it also sounds extremely synthesized. did you input the notes or play them on a keyboard? i like the style, but you need alot of work on this one. the first suggestion i give is to keep the piano and get rid of the sax and horns cuz those instruments suck on garage band. then make sure that you keep all of the instruments in key

SourPuddle responds:

I input notes, and I actually was hoping someone told me to take out the sax, because it really does sound bad.

Thanks, man!

hmm...

interesting beginning for sure! i really like that background organ as well, and the rubs in both synths really work out well! it reminds me of walking through some updated area of istanbul. i could see this in a videogame based in the desert or something. i love it! the only criticism i have to offer is to try and stick with one melody, but other than that it's fantastic.

SourPuddle responds:

Yeah, I think I outdid myself a little much on the solos for the organ here. This song kind of shows that, me, repetitive? Never!

Thanks for the review, bro.

wow

I really like this ambient jazzy sort of song! i can't wait until the guitar part, bro! lol, i could see this song being sped up by 100% and sounding just like some awesome elevator music. speaking of elevator music, this is the best elevator music i've ever heard xD the only thing i i don't like is the length, but other than that it's awesome

SourPuddle responds:

Yeah, I would shorten the length, but there's huge gaps where the pad riffs with the drums where I want the guitar solos to come in. Hopefully, those will make it seem less lengthy.

hm..

I'm really digging your style dude!! i'ts not as typical as most electronica stuff that you listen to. however, i could see that synth that starts out at the begging changing later on in the song, so that it doesn't get so repetative. 4/5 ;)

btw, could you check out my stuff? thanks ;)

Thanks for the review, I'll give your page a go :D

extend this sucker!

this is just sick!! totally epic and amazing. mysterious and flowing, yet on edge. i really like it alot! you really should extend it to be a bit longer and maybe make a different version where it goes into a wild techno frenzy. lovin it bro!

SourPuddle responds:

Makes sense, alright man, I'll do it! I just need to recreate it all. Currently, my computer with FL studio died out, so we'll just have to wait.

Thanks bro!

mysterious and alien

it was very well put together, though the loop itself could be a bit more complex so that it isn't like a loop that's looped over and over. for me i think you should add a bit more to it than what you have. it could be just 16 seconds, and i feel like you could do a bit more with it

SourPuddle responds:

This is actually a demo version, seeing how it has a high score, I will probably recreate it with sixteen note fills, and it wont be a loop.

once again, needs refining xD

definitely one of your better songs, yet like the rest it gets kind of repetative and iffy with the rubbing at points. i'm digging your style though, so it may just be your style that i'm getting used to. which program do you use? do you do it all with keyboard? once again i really like the drums. pretty good bro, just work on it a bit ;)

SourPuddle responds:

FL Studio, man. I program it all on 'Piano Roll' which is kind of like Garage band, just a lot easier to manage. So I don't actually play on a midi piano, I just program the notes to hit at specific times.

I'll try to get them less loopy, and I'll add more solos and stuff in my newer projects.
