i got some advice ;)

though i don't like the song much, i apreciate that you at least ask for help on it ;)

-mess around with the effects and try to make it less echo-ish. then, on the final draft, see what you can do with the reverb and mixing
-make a steadier beat!! augh!! though it's very unique, the phrasing is off when the beat comes in
-add in a bass line and more melodies. learn about music form, that might help. what i try to do is shift between two sorts of melodies (refrain and chorus) and add in a bridge then finish it off with a conclusion that includes some thing from the intro

i see potential, but it could use some work ;) i hope i helped!!

btw, could you review some of my stuff? i pay it back, so i could review more of your stuff if you review mine, just as long as it's my less reviewed stuff ;)

thanks,

I have so far been self teaching myself FL, but my basic knowlege of music theory is nil, So progress has probably just been lucky.

thanks for the advice.

add some rap

this is really cool and has alot of potential. the only advice i have for you is to mix up the orchestration a bit and add in more refrains and maybe a bridge. it's got really cool potential ;)

btw, could you check out my stuff? less rated please ;)
thanks,

hmm...i can tell

i like it, but it sounds alot like tetris if you ask me. that might be why you're having such a hard time going somewhere with it. it's a cool idea though. has an egyptian sound to it, and if i were you i would add in an echo-ish piano interlude somewhere in it. just throwing ideas out there for yah, the musician's stump is horrible :P i completely understand

btw, could you check out some of my stuff? (not the more rated and voted upon songs please)
thanks!

hmm...rushing synth?

cool song and has alot of potential, but i'd work on the lead synth. try to line it up with the rest of the music a bit better. i would also advise that you clean up the parts of the synth with the note rubs. once again, this is a sick song, but if i was you i would expand and fix it up alot. great job!

btw, could you check out my stuff? (something less reviewed please :)

thanks!

I see what you mean. I just kinda threw it together in 30 minutes so there's alot of messups. Just listen to the lead synth screwup at 00:36. Oh wells, I'll definately check your stuff out since you took the time to give me a review.

pretty darn good bro

I really like it for something that would seem to go no where. If i started out with a melody like that i would have no idea where to go with it, so i give you mad props for that ;) I enjoyed the piano alot, and i wouldl ike to see maybe a faster part to some of the instruments, to make it seem a bit more intense you know? also, i would advise maybe making it a bit less repetative towards the end, but that's just me. it's perfect for relaxing to. great job ;)

absolutely amazing

I loved it alot!! perhaps it's the style of the singing voice that i don't like, but other than that, it sounds great!! i love the piano and acoustic mix in the beat!! I would recommend making another version where it speeds up around 0:30/ that would be sick! i see alot of potential in this song. while it still makesa great final draft, i would ontinue to work one it and master it to all of your best ability.

btw, could you check some of my songs? (something besides forming anesthetic)
thanks!

okay

it's kind of cool, but it's really not all that great for a remix. it doesn't have many other elements that change it up much. this is really repetative and doesn't even include the melody of the singer in it. sorry but it didnt do it for me :( some advice would be to:

add some of your own elements to the song
make it less repetative and use a wider range of instruments
use the piano less (this is a remix, not another version u know?)

LOST-R34LITY responds:

Well thanks anyway for the review....better then not getting one at all. Plus getting advice is better then saying its cool....or whatever. Everyone needs a little help ;)

love it ^_^

this song really envoked the feelings that you meant it to make up in your comments :) if you could somehow extend it into a longer version of this song, it'd be very cool as well. it reminds me of the beginning of a soft, but intense game, u know? sort of mysterious like kingdom hearts or zelda :D

btw, i like to make music as well, could you give me a review or two? thanks :D

love the mixing style :)

i really love how you incorporated the acoustic ness of piano and bells with these electronic drums and the electronic bass. it all fits together well, but i feel like the drums could go a bit farther than they do. maybe a bit of djing on them would be pretty cool, if you have a program with the capabilities of doing that. i would also working on a faster buildup after 1:10. other than that i was very impressed ;)

btw, i love to make music as well, could you check out some of my stuff? thanks :D

I mite go back and do a round 2 on this so if i do ill take ur ideas.
thx for da good review.

love it, needs more than a bass and drums :)

this is a really good song, i just would think you could put more into it u know? maybe a little piano, a few soft trumpets and horns, and you'd have a pretty cool song. i could also see this as more than an ambient song. i could see at one point where it all explodes at that main theme in 0:35. it's got alot of potential :D

btw, i like to make music too. could you check out some of my stuff for me? preferably less reviewed...thanks! :D

cooljedi responds:

Thanks for the review and yeah i did try to add some piano to it but was very unsatisfied with the results I got. I decided that I liked it as a short ambient jazz piece so I left it at that.
